The booking process was straightforward and they were responsive, with an easy to understand quote and online portal. We hired for both packing and moving, which based on a few questions and pictures provided of our current place they opted to split into two days. Both days they arrived on time and worked diligently throughout the day. They were very careful in moving heavy/fragile items, and made sure to break down everything that needed to be, as well as set everything back up exactly how we wanted in our new place.We've unpacked about 80% of our stuff, but so far NOTHING has been broken or damaged which is really impressive as I've never moved where that's been the case.I'll say from a "value" standpoint, I thought the packing took a little too long and while I can understand being extra cautious in ensuring no damage to things a lot of the packing seemed unnecessary and a waste of time. That would be fine if they didn't charge by the hour. Things like wrapping individual plastic tupperware in paper or just filling 1/3 of every box with paper regardless of contents come to mind. As a result, they went way over the quoted time on both packing day and move day and our move ended up only being about $600 cheaper than a cross-country move from Philly we had done 2 years ago, where we actually had more items and also utilized packing services. Those packers took 2 hours less to pack, but then they also broke a couple items so maybe that's just the trade off. If I had to do this move again, I probably would have just packed as the small odds and ends/kitchen which seemed to take the longest myself and hired them for the rest.Again, I would absolutely recommend the company, just be aware you will be paying a premium particularly if you choose packing services.Response from the ownerKunj,Thank you so much for your kind and honest review of our services. We have recently had a move with Greater Austin moving & storage. In our case it was really used as both long 3 years storage and then move our belongings and furniture from Austin TX to Washington DC, and at that us being away from Austin.The move went better than any other move we ever had. Being a small consulting high tech company we moved a lot, so we have plenty to compare with.This is by far the best one. Really strongly recommend to anyone in need of moving.

Overall great experience and would recommend! The booking process was straightforward and they were responsive, with an easy to understand quote and online portal. We hired for both packing and moving, which based on a few questions and pictures provided of our current place they opted to split into two days. Both days they arrived on time and worked diligently throughout the day. They were very careful in moving heavy/fragile items, and made sure to break down everything that needed to be, as well as set everything back up exactly how we wanted in our new place.We've unpacked about 80% of our stuff, but so far NOTHING has been broken or damaged which is really impressive as I've never moved where that's been the case.I'll say from a "value" standpoint, I thought the packing took a little too long and while I can understand being extra cautious in ensuring no damage to things a lot of the packing seemed unnecessary and a waste of time. That would be fine if they didn't charge by the hour. Things like wrapping individual plastic tupperware in paper or just filling 1/3 of every box with paper regardless of contents come to mind. As a result, they went way over the quoted time on both packing day and move day and our move ended up only being about $600 cheaper than a cross-country move from Philly we had done 2 years ago, where we actually had more items and also utilized packing services. Those packers took 2 hours less to pack, but then they also broke a couple items so maybe that's just the trade off. If I had to do this move again, I probably would have just packed as the small odds and ends/kitchen which seemed to take the longest myself and hired them for the rest.Again, I would absolutely recommend the company, just be aware you will be paying a premium particularly if you choose packing services.

We were contracted to work with one of their employees coming with a transport from Texas to Illinois. He showed great care and expertise in handling all of the clients property. Well trained. Great service and pleasure to work with. I'd work with them anytime.
Received estimates from a few companies, but this was the only company that came out prior to the move to give an estimate after viewing everything that needed to be moved from our house. The actual move was right in line with their estimate. I also had them come a couple days before the move to finish packing which was well worth it.
I cannot recommend Great Austin Moving enough. They are the most professional and organized moving company I’ve ever used. I was promptly contacted after I put in a request online and was able to schedule a quick walkthrough to receive a quote from Tori. She was in contact with me, checking in throughout the entire process. We used their packing service (which is worth every penny). Tori, Vicki, and Jennifer were incredibly quick, organized and did an incredible job taking care of our belongings. We were pleasantly surprised at even the detailed labeling on our boxes, making the unpacking process for us much easier.The next day Erik, Kannon and Brandon did our move. Again, on time and organized. They were efficient and went the extra mile to ensure that everything was safely in its place. The entire team did such a great job communicating with me and with each other. Best moving experience I’ve had in the many moves I’ve made over the years. Would definitely use them again in the future!
This team did a quick move of a refrigerator from one house to another house about a half mile from each other. Since I was paying for a minimum, I had them move some BIG items to the city dump. It worked out so well!
I’ve been through tens of move and this team was by far the most professional, efficient and careful I’ve ever had the pleasure of hiring. I cannot recommend this company enough!

BEST MOVING & STORAGE COMPANY IN TEXAS! I was so impressed with the amount of care put into moving my entire apartment. All of my belongings were wrapped neatly and safely to ensure nothing was broken/damaged. Tammy is extremely kind and caring, she checked on me throughout my move and storage process (which was over 6 months) and even followed up with me to make sure I made it to my destination safely. The service is easy and quick too. I would highly recommend Greater Austin Moving & Storage to anyone who needs to move!

If you are looking for professional movers then look no further! The service that Greater Austin Moving & Storage provides is simply stellar and Tori is most definitely a shining star!!! We were so fortunate to have Tori as our project manager on the job, which just let me say was no ordinary job!!! Without going into details, it was not your typical move, it was very complex and utterly overwhelming!!! In fact, I really can’t imagine any other professional movers being able to handle it! Tori navigated and organized the entire job and was in constant communication with us while we were out of state, with such an incredible level of professionalism and something that isn’t very common these days… respect, caring and kindness, which meant more to us than words can ever say! Moving is extremely stressful under normal circumstances, this move was indescribably beyond stressful with very abnormal circumstances, but having Tori in charge alleviated a great deal of stress and worry. Tori and her entire team are beyond competent and completely trustworthy. If you are in need of help with a future move or something a bit more complicated, do yourself a huge favor and hire Greater Austin Moving & Storage! From start to finish, this company is about taking all the stress away from moving to a new home. I personally felt as well taken care of by the considerate staff as all of the boxes and furniture they safely moved to my new house. Every mover was polite and professional and the company overall did an amazing job. I'm so happy I used Greater Austin for my recent move. I was anxious about the process because I needed to store my furniture for a few weeks in between apartments, but Tammy worked with me on the quote and planning for storage and made the whole scheduling process a breeze. On the actual move days, Jim and his coworkers were very friendly and polite. Jim communicated proactively and was either on time or early for both moves which was much appreciated! They took great care of my furniture and other items, and I will definitely use them again in the future. Thank you for making what could have been a stressful event into something pleasant and positive!
