Good morning! There is nothing better than waking up on Friday and realizing that the day is ours to play as we choose. As we embark on this holiday weekend, I would like to start by thanking the brave men and women that have served our country to allow us the freedom and protection that we are so very blessed to know. There is no greater sacrifice than to commit one’s life to the protection of others, and for that we are eternally grateful.
So, with holiday weekends come tons of fun things to see and do around Austin. The Austin Mom’s Blog is my go-to resource when looking for new and exciting things to do as a family. I highly suggest you check out their weekend roundup for an excellent list of fun things to do over the next couple of days.
In addition to this great list, here are our top three picks for weekend fun:
(1) How about an old-fashioned drive-in movie? Blue Starlite will be showcasing Independence Day on July 3rd and 4th at 9 p.m.
(2) If the “successful life your livin” has got you fueding “like the Hatfields and McCoys”, or if you just want to kick back and enjoy a full lineup of amazing music, you will not have to drive to Luckenbach this year. Willie and family will be right here in Austin to help you “get back to the basics of love”.
(3) And no Fourth of July celebration would be complete without a magnificent fireworks display, so burn a path over to Auditorium Shores for a GREAT Austin tradition!
Have fun, be safe, but most importantly make your holiday GREAT!
